Step 1 . -Fill the pot with enough water to cover the bottom. Boil over high heat. When the water is heated, trim and discard the stems and tough outer leaves of artichokes. Stuff butter and garlic slices into artichoke leaves.
Step 2 . -After the water boils, put the steamer into the pot, and put the artichoke stem down into the steamer. Cover the pot and let the artichokes steam for about 20 minutes until soft.
Step 3 . -Eat the tender meat of half the leaves and throw away the upper leaves.
Step 4 . -Dip sauce can be used to enhance the taste. You can use something as simple as thousand island sauce.
