The custom of eating zongzi on the Dragon Boat Festival has been around for a long time. Every year, mother will gather zongzi leaves in front of and behind the house, wrap them with fresh glutinous rice, and stuff them with all kinds of beans and dates that can be found at home. They are packed tightly and cooked in a large pot. They are fragrant and glutinous. With white sugar, I can eat several at a time.I collected some ready-made ingredients at home and made this simple zongzi.

Simple zongzi
Step 1 . Soak glutinous rice overnight.

Step 2 . Reserve black peanuts, red dates, and raisins.

Step 3 . Wash the zongzi leaves thoroughly, cut off the stems and blanch slightly with hot water for disinfection.

Step 12 . Add enough water to the pot to keep Zongzi from falling.

Step 13 . Moderate fire for at least 1 to 5 hours. After turning off the heat, it can continue to simmer for 1-2 hours.
